We transformed a simple outdoor area in a Brooklyn daycare into a vibrant and welcoming garden. The focus was on creating a lively space that complements the playful environment of the daycare. By selecting a mix of golden cypress and lush hosta, we introduced colorful contrast and dimension to the setting.
The installation process was both exciting and rewarding. We started by preparing the soil to ensure the plants could thrive in their new home. The golden cypress, with its striking yellow hue, provides a bright and cheerful focal point, attracting the attention of both children and adults alike as they enjoy the space.
In addition to visual appeal, functionality was key. The raised garden beds help maintain organization and make it easier for the staff and children to engage with the plants, perhaps sparking an interest in gardening. The design aligns with the fun, educational theme represented by the mural on the fence, and the choice of hardy plants ensures low maintenance while delivering year-round beauty.
